Christopher Robert Evans, born 13 June 1981, is an American actress. His career began with the roles in TV shows, such as in Opposite Sex in the year 2000. The actor gained acclaim for his character as Human Torch, the Marvel Comics character in Fantastic Four (2007) and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2008). Evans was featured in a variety of film adaptations of graphic novels and comics, like TMNT (2007) Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2009) and Snowpiercer (2013). Alongside his character as Steve Rogers/Captain America Evans was recognized for his work in the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies Captain America: The First Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2015) and Captain America: Civil War. He was able to become one of the highest paid actors around the globe due to his role in the Marvel series.
