Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family that included musicians. She spent most of her youth listening to classic music Boleros from the past, classic ranchero or romantic music along with old classical pieces. Ana is a lover of tangos, opera, and every form of dramatic performances. When she was a child, her mother would sing with her at the age of 12, she took up more rigorous singing lessons at the age of 16, under the direction of the renowned Mexican tenor FlavioBecerra. In Guadalajara, she attended the School of Music of University of Guadalajara and then in Toluca at Toluca at the School of Sacred Music. When she was a student, as well when she was a professional young in Mexico City and Guadalajara she performed with various chamber groups and choruses. After moving into America, United States, she performed as a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then in 2002 she relocated to southern California. She sings with Ensemble XXI Redlands, and performs Latin American traditional music solo in a variety of private occasions. She is passionate about the performing arts, music, and the arts keep active in community projects both as an artist and teacher. Ana was also a part of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is presently a professor of the Performance Loft. Ana is grateful to Inland Master Chorale members for the permission to sing classic Latin American song.
